2. Local-First Data Storage

Your personal notes, task lists, categories, audio preferences, and metadata are stored exclusively in a secure, local SQLite database on your physical device. We do not maintain user accounts, centralized note sync servers, or cloud storage copies of your documents.

3. AI Cognitive Processing

When you explicitly trigger AI features (such as /fix proofreading, /summarize, or Socratic thinking partner actions):

• The specific text snippet or note you submit is encrypted in transit via HTTPS to our secure API proxy.
• The text is processed strictly in memory to generate your synthesis and returned immediately to your device.
• Zero Data Retention: Your note content is never logged, stored on servers, or used to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Device Permissions

The App may request permissions solely to provide core features:

• Storage / Media: To allow you to attach images, documents (PDFs), or import custom ambient audio tracks into your notes.
• Internet Access: Exclusively used when you choose to invoke on-demand AI thinking partner tools.

5. Third-Party Tracking & Analytics

ThoughtBook LM contains zero third-party advertising trackers and zero behavioral profiling engines. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information under any circumstances.
